Perera San Martin Laura

Biographie

Color grader & post-production coordinator, born in Nantes (France), working mainly in Brussels, established in Wallonia (Belgium).

After graduating in Cinematography at INSAS Film School (Brussels), she worked as a camerawoman and camera assistant before specializing in film post-production since 2017.

She works as a digital lab support in various post-production companies (STUDIO L’EQUIPE, BOXON…) where she manages rushes, creates on-set LUTs, conforms editing projects in preparation for color grading, integrates VFX, and provides technical support to color graders and quality control.

She also worked 5 years as post-production coordinator in HELICOTRONC, where she coordinates all the projects produced by the company during these years, from dailies management to archiving, including all stages of post-production and mastering.

She is currently working mainly as a freelance colorist (for various fictions, documentaries, animation movies...), for cinema and television.

She did the color grading on some great movies, such as :

- features "WE BELIEVE YOU" / "ON VOUS CROIT" (which was selected for the Berlinale in 2025 and won 8 René du cinéma in 2026, including for Best feature movie) or "ROBINSON CRUSOE IS A DICK" (which was selected in the International Film Festival Rotterdam in 2023)...

- documentaries "MY NAME IS CLITORIS" / "MON NOM EST CLITORIS" (that won the Magritte for Best Documentary in 2020) or "JAIME" (that won the Mention du Jury Price at Visions du réel in 2022)...

- short fictions such as "AN INVINCIBLE SUMMER" / "UN INVINCIBLE ÉTÉ" (that won the Mention du Jury Price at the Berlinale in 2024)...

- animation movies such as "IN THOUSAND PETALS" / "EN MILLE PÉTALES" (that won the Magritte for Best Animation Short Movie in 2025)...

- TV documentaries which were big hits on Belgian television, such as "PHILIPPE - Une année avec le roi des belges", "PAOLA côté jardin", "JEUX DE BAL"...

- TV series such as "UNE SEMAINE SUR DEUX"...

She also works as a photographer and as a graphic designer.

She is also lecturer in Film Schools (IAD, La Cambre Cinéma d'Animation, ESRA...), where she teaches color grading on Da Vinci Resolve software and supervises practical works.
